Everybody's back to school

Lots of people spent last week getting ready for today, when students, teachers and staff of the Rowan-Salisbury Schools, area charter and private schools, head back to school.
Today is the opening day of the 2008-2009 school year for the school system, with about 20,800 students expected to start – if they all catch the bus.
Teachers at Enochville Elementary were busy putting the finishing touches on their classrooms, getting their files in order, completing lesson plans and making visitors feel welcome.
The usual first-day jitters and glitches can be expected, but the annual ritual goes on.
Detailed information on uniforms, policies, lunch prices are more can be found at the school system’s Web site, www.rss.k12.nc.us.
The Post’s Back to School Section ran Aug. 13 this year.
