TREA scholarship
Tara Scheidt, a senior at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, is the recipient of a 2008 The Retired Enlisted Association National Scholarship.
An international business and economics major, she is the daughter of Renee Coates Scheidt and Mel Melton of China Grove.
