Education – Kendall Hankins graduates from UNC School of Nursing

Kendall Hankins graduated Dec. 12 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. On Nov. 16, Kendall was inducted into the Alpha Alpha Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tan International Honor Society of Nursing. Inductees are nominated by the nursing school faculty and selected by the Honor Society board of directors. Inductees are selected based on scholarship, leadership and excellence in nursing. Linda Cronenwetti, dean of the School of Nursing, presented the award.
Hankins completed her internship at Georgetown University Hospital and has accepted a position with Duke University Hospital’s Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. She is a 2004 graduate of Salisbury High School.
A dean’s list student at UNC, she is a North Carolina Scholar, North Carolina Nursing Scholarship recipient, and past recipient of Kiawanis Service Above Self Award. She also served as treasurer for the North Carolina Association of Student Nurses.
