Hood convocation
Hood Theological Seminary’s annual Endowment Convocation will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 in the Multi-Purpose Room on campus.
Each year, the 12 Episcopal districts of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church send representatives to present donations to the Hood Permanent Endowment Fund. Most of the 11 sitting bishops attend and make the presentations on behalf of their districts.
Last year, more than $150,000 was raised during the convocation.
Bishop James E. McCoy, presiding prelate of the Alabama-Florida Episcopal District will be the featured speaker.
