The N.C. Social Services Commission is accepting nominations for a seat on the Rowan County Board of Social Services.
This would be for a three-year term beginning on July 1 of this year and ending on June 30, 2011. The seat is currently filled by Lillian L. Morgan, who is eligible for reappointment to a second, three-year term.
Nomination forms can be picked up at the Rowan County Department of Social Services office at 1236 W. Innes St. or accessed online at http:www.dhhs.state .nc.us/dss/sscommission/index.htm. A booklet titled, “Serving on the County Board of Social Services,” can also be accessed at that Web site.
Nominations must be sent to the Social Services Commission, 2401 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, N.C. 27699-2401 and received no later than May 9.
The Rowan Board of Social Services, at its March meeting, voted to recommend that Morgan be reappointed.
