Facts about drug cards- NACo drug discount cards are free and available to everyone;
– No enrollment form, no restrictions on usage;
– Cards are not insurance;
– Card holders are eligible for discounts averaging 20 percent. Cards can be used in conjunction with insurance including Medicare Part D when the plan doesn’t cover a prescription drug;
– Cards may be used at approximately 68 pharmacies within a 20-mile radius of Salisbury; Wal-Mart pharmacies are among the 57,000 participating pharmacies that honor the NACo discount card.
– Caremark Rx Inc. administers the program nationwide, negotiating with pharmacies to offer a discount to card holders.
