4-H youth from across the nation will be celebratingNational 4-H Week now through Oct. 11 by raising awareness about 4-H programs.
Throughout National 4-H week and the year, 4-H’ers solve problems in their communities, raise awareness about issues and make a difference for their futures in the spirit of 4-H’s vision to create a world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for positive change.
In Rowan County, more than 1,000 youth and 200 volunteers are actively involved in 4-H through 4-H clubs, camp, special interest programming and school enrichment opportunities.
To help support Rowan County 4-H, the National 4-H Council is thrilled to announce that 4-H has once again partnered with Southern States Cooperative retail stores to run the “4-H Paper Clover” campaign, an exciting fundraising promotion in which consumers buy a paper clover at the register for $1.
From now to Sunday, Oct. 19, Southern States Cooperative will sell paper clovers to its customers for $1 at the register at select Southern States locations. Fifty cents from each $1 donation will go to the local 4-H program and the remainder will go to the National 4-H Council.
