Donate school supplies for Rowan

When you donate school supplies for Rowan County students, you will receive a free Trolley Tour ride, sponsored by the Rowan Tourism Development Authority and the Salisbury Trolley Works, on Saturday. Trolley tours will leave the Visitor Center at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.
The school supplies collected at this event will be given to Communities In Schools of Rowan County to help less fortunate children in the Rowan-Salisbury School System. Each year, approximately 50 percent of the student population qualifies for the free- or reduced-lunch program. Many children start the school year off without the needed tools to help them achieve success.
If you have questions about the Free Trolley Ride Program, call 704-638-3100 or 704-797-0210. For more information about Communities In Schools, call 704-797-0210 or visit our Web site at www.CISRowan.org.
