Doctor of medicine
Brian Cross graduated May 17 from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., with a doctor of medicine degree.
Cross was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and received the Merck Book Award for significant contributions to the School of Medicine and the Missouri State Medical Association Award for outstanding proficiency in the study of medicine.
He will complete his residency in urologic surgery at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Ga.
A 1996 graduate of East Rowan High School, he received a bachelor’s degree in physics in 2000 and a master’s degree in biology in 2004, both from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
He is the son of Stanton and Sandra Cross of Salisbury.
