DCCC names Beauchamp director of Davie Center

MOCKSVILLE ó Leanne M. Beauchamp of Mocksville has been hired as director of the new Davidson County Community College Davie Education Center, 120 Kinderton Blvd., Advance.
Beauchamp will initiate and implement educational services to the Davie County community and establish new college partnerships.
A ribbon-cutting for the new center is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. April 14.
Beauchamp has 19 years of professional marketing and business experience. Recently, she was the marketing director for A Child’s World Learning Center in Davie and Forsyth counties. In previous positions, she was director of media and public relations for Partnership for a Drug-Free North Carolina and executive director of the Alleghany County Chamber of Commerce.
She taught marketing, leadership and English at Wilkes Community College in Sparta and was vice president/marketing manager of Wachovia Securities in Charlotte. She earned a bachelor of science in advertising from the University of Illinois and studied social work in the master’s degree program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Beauchamp has served as a board or committee member for several community organizations including JobLink, Blue Ridge Business Development Center, Blue Ridge Cancer Coalition, Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, Sparta Revitalization Committee, 21st Century Community Learning, Health Services Council, Alleghany County Fair and Smart Start of Forsyth County.
