Staff report
The Crown Point Place apartments have new ownership, but Waggoner Realty will continue to manage the property just off Interstate 85.
Prestige Investment Properties LLC of Mooresville sold the 32 units to ECP LLC of Virginia for nearly $1.6 million, according to a deed filed July 15 in the Rowan County Register of Deeds office.
The 321 Crown Point Drive property is beside the Olympic Crown Storage units.
Prestige Investment Properties was the entity run by Carmen De Andrea Jr., of Mooresville, with his wife. He said Wednesday he owned the property for about five years, mostly as a side business with Waggoner Realty taking over to manage it.
Marcia Silvestro, office manager for Waggoner, said her company has managed the property since the first of the year and helped facilitate the sale to the new owners. She said Dan Waggoner is property manager.
She said they have about 25 percent of the units to fill, and if someone is interested they can call the Waggoner Realty office at 704-633-0462. The number listed in phone books for the apartments has been disconnected.
Attorney Robert Pauley Jr. of Forest, Va., is the agent listed with ECP LLC.
