SPENCER ó The Spencer Jaycees are seeking contestants for the Miss Spencer-Rowan Pageant.
The pageant will be held Aug. 23 as part of the Spencer Jaycees Street Dance. Applications are available by contacting Alicia Bean at 704-637-5577.
Miss Spencer-Rowan contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 26 and be residents of Rowan County. All contestants will be judged on: essay, interview and poise/personality.
The winner will receive a $300 college scholarship and serve as Miss Holiday Caravan in the Holiday Caravan parade. Applications must be postmarked by Aug. 8.
