Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will hold open house Tuesday at the North Campus in Salisbury and Wednesday at the South Campus in Concord, the Cabarrus Business and Technology Center in Concord and the Cloverleaf Center in Kannapolis. All events will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The events are for high school students and recent graduates, their parents and adults of all ages who want to continue their education, start a new career, brush up on the basics or just take a class for fun.
Exam fee scholarshipStudents and graduates of the accounting program at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College may be eligible for a scholarship to cover the application fee for the N.C. Certified Public Accountancy Examination.
Those who meet eligibility requirements to sit for the exam on or before Dec. 31 and take the exam within six months of their application can apply. The scholarship will cover all expenses providing all parts of the exam are taken in first sitting.
A resume, including dates of RCCC attendance and qualifications to take the N.C. CPA exam should be submitted to Robin Tuner at RCCC no later than Nov. 7.
The recipient will be selected by a committee. Candidates will be contacted by Nov. 21, in time to make application by Dec. 31.
