City, fire department ask citizens for help to create memorial DVD, booklet

The city of Salisbury and the Salisbury Fire Department are inviting citizens to help with the creation of a memorial DVD and tribute booklet in honor of fallen Salisbury firefighters Justin Edward Monroe and Victor A. Isler.
The men died in the March 7 fire at Salisbury Millwork.
The DVDs and booklets will be provided to the men’s families and to members of Salisbury, Miller’s Ferry and Spencer fire departments.
Additional copies will be available to the community.
Citizens wishing to submit personal photos, video or multi-media content are encouraged to do so by downloading and recording content onto a non-returnable DVD or CD.
Those submitting media also should include their names and contact information.
As appropriate, people submitting material will be recognized for their contributions.
All submittals become the property of the city of Salisbury and the Salisbury Fire Department. By submitting content for the Fallen Firefighter Memorial DVD and Booklet, individuals are agreeing to release these items for reproduction purposes and waive all rights to any compensation, royalties or fees.
Media submittals should be sent to city of Salisbury Public Information Officer Karen Wilkinson, Salisbury City Hall, 217 S. Main Street, (2nd Floor), Salisbury, NC 28144, by Friday, March 28.
In addition, television news teams are being encouraged to submit a complimentary DVD or CD featuring their full coverage of this incident over the last two weeks.
Newspaper articles, video clips, interviews and commemorative segments will be included in the memorial DVD and booklet. News teams will be recognized for their contributions.
