A China Grove man was arrested Wednesday on charges of statutory rape and taking indecent liberties with a 15-year-old girl last month.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon Tyler Massey, 30, of 214 Old Rockwell Road, according to an arrest warrant at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
Massey was charged with one count of statutory rape in which the defendant was at least six years older than the victim.
He was also charged with one count of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Massey was jailed under a $10,000 bond.
