‘Baby’ Brown
KANNAPOLIS ó Walter Louis “Baby” Brown, 55, of 2392 Saguaro Lane, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast.
Born Sept. 7, 1952, in Kershaw County, S.C., Mr. Brown was a son of the late Eddie and Ella Mae Beal Brown.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1971 to 1973. He was employed by Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury as a bio-med engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Diane Brown of the home; daughters Lavonia Brown Hasty, Crystal Brown Weaks, Aheisha Brown Littlejohn, all of Kannapolis, and Kim Caldwell of China Grove; nine grandchildren; brothers William Brown and Eddie Brown Jr., both of Kannapolis.
A service was held Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Bethel Baptist Church with Elder Bryan Pierce Sr., officiating and Pastor Naomi Hopkins as eulogist. Burial was at Salisbury National Cemetery.
Clark Funeral Home assisted the family.
