Dog agility trials to be held July 3-6 at Cabarrus Arena
The Cabarrus Arena and Events Center will host the AKC Agility Trials sponsored by the Greater Monroe and Danville Kennel Clubs July 3-6.
At the trials, owners will demonstrate their canines’ physical ability and willingness to work with a handler under various conditions. The competition requires training, teamwork and endurance in both the dog and the handler.
Together, they perform a series of tests such as dog walks, a-frame ramps, jumps, tunnels and weaves while racing against the clock.
The event is free to spectators. Entry to be a participant has been closed, so no un-entered dogs can attend.
Vendors selling assorted dog-related items like food, toys, breed-related items, doggie treats and equipment will be on site each day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
