Vandals pour sugar in gas tank
Vandals poured sugar in the gasoline tank of a local woman’s vehicle, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Melanie Dawn Majasick Tanksley reported the incident occurred while her vehicle was parked at 711 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. the night of Sept. 8.
In other Police Department reports:
– Alex Deryan Beatty, 22, was charged Sept. 8 with simple assault based on a complaint by Danielle Dorsett Robinson at 609 W. Council St.
– Brandon Levi Gregory reported items stolen from his truck while it was parked at 803 N. Main St.
– Richard Alton Purser, 58, 205 Eastwood Drive, was charged Sept. 8 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer and disorderly conduct at 311 Eastwood Drive based on a complaint by Amber S. Burgess. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending an Oct. 20 trial date.
– Christopher Ryan Evans reported a $300 mini-dirt bike was stolen Sept. 9 from 406 Brownrigg Road.
– Catalytic converters were stolen from several vehicles at Team Chevrolet Oldsmobile Cadillac, 404 S. Jake Alexander Blvd., the night of Sept. 8.
– Nicole Felicia Swindell reported vandals damaged her vehicle while it was parked at 1614 Standish St. between Sept. 7 and 9.
– A catalytic converter was stolen off a Stout Heating and Air Conditioning truck parked at 4243 S. Main St. Sept. 9.
– Deborah Chambers Walker, 812 W. Fisher St., reported Sept. 9 that jewelry had been stolen during a family party at her home.
– Shawn Lee Blackwell reported a laptop computer stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at Salisbury Mall, 1935 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., Sept. 8.
– Natasha Dioann Price reported her pocketbook was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at 225 American Drive Sept. 9.
– Bernard Clement reported a mountain bike stolen Sept. 9 from 500 E. Innes St.
– Phones valued at $2,124 were stolen during a Sept. 10 burglary at the Alltel store at 910 E. Innes St. There was also $1,000 damage to a glass door.
– Casey Lynn Carter, 26, 233 Claymont Drive, was charged Sept. 10 with misdemeanor larceny of a watch at Kmart, 815 E. Innes St. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Oct. 7.
– Brent Adkins, 1103 Statesville Blvd., reported vandals shot a window at his home with a BB gun between Sept. 5 and 10.
– A 25-year-old male reported he was the victim of a strong-arm robbery around 11:15 p.m. Sept. 10 at 602 Linn Lane.
– Richard Alexander, 22, was charged Sept. 9 with felony breaking and entering a building.
– Darrel Johnson, 47, 1002 Celebration Drive, was charged Sept. 10 with consumption on a public street or highway at the intersection of Celebration Drive and Carpenter’s Circle. Trial date is Oct. 15.
