Blotter: Thousands of dollars in items taken from home

A burglar stole $16,800 worth of items from a Salisbury home, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Stephen Campbell Etters reported the suspect broke into his 404 W. Kerr St. home through a side door the night of Oct. 9.
In other Police Department reports:
– Elizabeth Taylor reported someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked at 632 Hobson Road between Oct. 4-10, but nothing was taken.
– Pauline Young Lakey reported vandals broke the passenger-side window in her vehicle while it was parked at 1259 Tall Oaks Circle Oct. 10.
– Rebekah Kaala Absher reported a scooter stolen Oct. 10 from 525 W. Council St.
– John Arthur Zoet reported a vandalism at 747 Club House Drive the night of Oct. 9.
– Carolynette Lassiter Peele reported the registration sticker was stolen off her vehicle while it was parked at 1916 Calvin Ave. Oct. 10.
– Michael Antonio Hopkins, 31, 125 Lloyd St., was charged Oct. 10 with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony kidnapping and resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer in the 600 block of Church Street. He is accused of assaulting Monique Marie Bevan and kidnapping a child. He was held under $35,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.- Shaun Luther McCain reported a CD/DVD player stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 2110 Executive Drive Oct. 10.
– Jose Leon Torres, 715 Hall St., reported items valued at $175 stolen during a burglary at his home the night of Oct. 10.
– Brice Nicole Robinson reported vandals broke out the taillights on her vehicle while it was parked at 200 Harrell St. Oct. 11.
– Patricia Ann Dukes reported items stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St., Oct. 11.
– Wendy Jayne Chase, 90 Shives St., reported vandals broke the glass in her front door Oct. 11.
– Gary Stegall Moser, 17, 112 E. Springhill Ave., Spencer, was charged Oct. 11 with misdemeanor shoplifting at Kmart, 815 E. Innes St. He is accused of consuming snack items inside the store without paying for them. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a Nov. 4 trial date.
– Jose Dos Santos reported vandals slashed tires on vehicle parked at 307 W. Fisher St. Oct. 11.
– Edwin Keith Watson reported a truck stolen from 128 S. Milford Drive between Sept. 20 and Oct. 11.
– Four counterfeit $100 bills were passed Oct. 11 at Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St.
– Martha Thomas Gregory reported an Oct. 11 vandalism at 806 N. Main St.
– A juvenile was charged Oct. 11 with being intoxicated and disruptive and injury to property at Salisbury Mall, 1935 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Porshia Leondra Walker, 600 N. Ellis St., Apartment G, reported a burglar broke into her home Oct. 12.
– Orlin Osman Vaca reported his vehicle was stolen Oct. 12 from Lincolnton Road at South Fulton Street.
– A 19-year-old female reported she was assaulted Oct. 12 at 325 S. Lee St.
– Katherine Maria Morris, 16, 8813 Twin Trail Drive, Huntersville, was charged Oct. 12 with misdemeanor larceny of six bottles of nail polish at Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St.
– Ashley Lean Roberts, 21 N. Arlington St., reported electronic items stolen during an Oct. 12 burglary at her home.
– Vandals dumped soap into the City of Salisbury fountain at the corner of East Innes and Depot streets on Oct. 12.
– Keny Emigdio Linares, 28, 803 Miller St., China Grove, was charged Oct. 10 with assault on a female and communicating treats based on a complaint by Sulma Linares, 521 Tower St. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Nov. 20.
– Eunice Cheri Fink-Baker, 21, 150 Lazy Lane, was charged Oct. 11 with felony larceny by employee. She was held under $500 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Holly Killian, 31, 205 Dan St., was charged Oct. 11 with communicating threats and disorderly conduct. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a Nov. 16 trial date.
– Kissy Dewrene Oxendine, 30, 409 S. Bell St., Albemarle, was charged Oct. 11 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer and misdemeanor larceny of shoes, jewelry and underwear at Kmart, 815 E. Innes St. She was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a Nov. 4 trial date.
– Ciji Bonita Graham, 18, 426 S. Lee St., was charged Oct. 11 with simple assault based on a complaint by Teresa Almetir Allison Weeks, 835 Lincolnton Road, No. 4. Trial date is Dec. 4.
