Blotter: Equipment valued at $1,600 stolen from Brightmoor Nursing Center

Christy Bales McClure reported between Nov. 7 and Nov. 10 someone took therapy equipment valued at $1,600 from a desk drawer at Brightmoor Nursing Center, 615 W. Fisher St., according to the Salisbury Police.
In other Police Department reports:
– Tracie Farrington Moss, 40, was charged with misdemeanor larceny of a six-string guitar from Aldi’s at 115 S. Avalon Drive on Nov. 5. The guitar, valued at $70, was undamaged and returned to the store.
– Patrick Allen Hillard reported Nov. 4 his vehicle was broken into overnight at 842 E. Lafayette St. Stolen items included money, cigarettes and a prepaid cell phone.
– Tonya Kesler Brittain reported Nov. 4 a purse stolen from a 2004 Chevy vehicle parked at the YMCA at 828 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Johnny Ray Blackwelder reported between Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 an ATM card stolen and used at various locations at 1811 E. Innes St.
– Ann Marie Sanchez reported Nov. 4 a CD player was taken from a pickup at 1034 E. Lafayette St.
– Amy Hackl reported Nov. 4 an argument between sisters at 111 Elmwood Drive. Rebecca Gene Pride, 31, was charged with simple assault in that incident.
– Donna Kay Earnhardt reported between Nov. 2 and Nov. 4 someone took her trimmer and leaf blower from an outbuilding at 160 Drew Circle.
– Mario Joseph Delprete reported his laptop computer was stolen from his Catawba College dorm room at 2300 W. Innes St. on Nov. 4.
– Charles William Davis reported between Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 vandals broke the glass of a 2002 Chevrolet vehice at 608 Partee St.
– Susan Kissiah Cloninger reported her laptop computer was missing from inside her residence at 14 Oak Road.
– Tyler Laurence Speir reported the theft of his bicycle Nov. 5 at 123 E. Fisher St.
– Penny Speas reported her son, Jordan K. Morris’ vehicle was broken into and the radio stolen on Nov. 5 at 107 N. Main St.
– Ashley Elizabeth Smith reported a jacket was stolen from her car Nov. 5 while it was parked at Kidsports Skates at 2129 Statesville Blvd.
– Anthony Jones reported a breaking and entering that occurred at 1501 N. Long St.
– Amanda Dawn Carrick, 30, was charged with larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nathan Charles Kindley, 42, was also charged with larceny. Both were detained Nov. 6 at Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St., for shoplifting. A marijuana pipe was found in the car Carrick was driving.
– Barry Medinger reported the Nov. 6 theft of a water pump from City Consignment Shop, 419-A S. Main St.
– Beverly Porter White reported a Nov. 6 larceny from a vehicle at 708 Bringle Ferry Road.
– Rochelle Lucas Hamilton, 30, was arrested Nov. 5 for resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 509 E. Liberty St.
– Rick’s Barbecue and Grill was broken into early Nov. 8 at 1617 S. Main St.
– Brandon Eugene Rhodes caught his brother in his residence at 1206 Bringle Ferry Road on Nov. 8. Christopher Von Keith Cowan, 28, was charged with felony breaking and entering into that residence. He was held under $1,000 bond pending a Nov. 10 trial date.
– Village Inn Pizza, 2142 Statesville Blvd., was broken into Nov. 8 where $10 in coins were taken.
– Tony Edward McLane reported vandals damaged his car at 513 Vance Ave. on Nov. 8.
– Joyce Anne Murphy reported Nov. 8 a portable stereo was taken from 1614 Standish St.
– A woman reported she was sexually assaulted at the Happy Traveler Motel on Nov. 7.
– Charles L. Huffman reported his electrical meter reader stolen at 1624 S. Main St. between Nov. 1 and Nov. 8.
– Rachel Wilson’s car was damaged Nov. 8 at 925 N. Main St., after an apparent break-in. Nothing was taken.
– Roger Brian Mason reported Nov. 8 the theft of his mo-ped from 136 N. Green St. It was later recovered. Clinton Bruce Rhoney, 19, was arrested at 309 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. and charged with misdemeanor larceny in that incident. Rhoney was held under $1,000 bond pending a Nov. 17 trial date.
– Joseph Brandon Hodge, 22, 14 Douglas St. NW, Concord, was charged Nov. 8 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer, which is a misdemeanor. He was held under $500 bond pending a Jan. 21 trial date.
– A mo-ped was found on fire at a pond in the cemetery at 200 Grove St. on Nov. 10.
– Kevin Donnell Morris reported vandalism at 228 Lloyd St. on No. 10.
– Frank Lewis Barber, 56, was charged with assault on a female at 936 S. Jake Alexander Blvd on Nov. 9.
– Hannah Wood reported Nov. 9 at 631 Bringle Ferry Road, a male took her purse from her vehicle and ran. Cedric Leon Matchett, 17, was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle at 118 W. Liberty St. in that incident. Matchett was released on a written promise to appear in court Nov. 11.
– A 21-year-old man reported he was shot at 100 B Linn Lane on Nov. 9.
– Salisbury Radiation Oncology at 229 Mocksville Ave. reported vandalism of a window between Nov. 7 and Nov. 10.
– Clairence Que Namocale reported a 2004 Toyota was vandalized while parked in the 1700 block of N. Jackson St. between Nov. 7 and Nov. 10.
– A 33-year-old woman was assaulted by a known acquaintance on Nov. 9 at Alexander Lane and Monroe Street.
– Sheree Hutchins reported her debit card was stolen while she worked at the Hefner VA Medical Center Nov. 5. She said $627.16 was already taken from her account before she was able to cancel the cards.
– Linda Sue Peterson reported someone stole stereo faceplates from her vehicle parked at 516 Mitchell Ave. on Nov. 7.
– Hattie Diane Mungro reported someone tampered with items in her vehicle parked at 400 Richmond Road on Nov. 7.
– Justin Safrit and Klancy Burney reported a Nov. 7 vandalism at 2713 Cottage St.
– An unknown person dropped off a counterfeit $10 bill at the Salisbury Police Department on Nov. 7.
– A 17-year-old woman reported she was assaulted on South Caldwell Street on Nov. 7.
– Claudia Desatel Benjamin reported he was a victim of credit card fraud on Nov. 7.
– James Ray Ervin reported Nov. 7 he was a victim of fraud by impersonation.
– Todd Steven Greene reported someone stole items from his vehicle parked at 2318 S. Main St. on Nov. 7.
– Aldi reported someone had dumped trash on its property at 115 S. Avalon Drive on Nov 7.
– A 39-year-old woman reported she was assaulted Nov. 7 at 319 N. Milford Drive.
– Katherine Marie Ross, 25, 300 Eighth St., Spencer, was charged Nov. 7 with felony larceny from Wal-Mart, 323 S. Arlington St., and felony preventing the activation of an anti-shoplifting device. Nine DVDs were removed from their packages. She was held under a $1,000 bond pending a Nov. 12 trial date.
– Yolanda Jo Yancey reported radio speakers were stolen from her vehicle parked at 815 E. Innes St. on Nov. 7.
– The owner of Marlow’s reported an attempted break-in at 2030 Statesville Blvd. on Nov. 7.
– Police found a handgun at 38 Knox St. on Nov. 8.
– A 35-year-old female reported she was assaulted on East Fisher Street Nov. 8.
– Police responded to a report of a fight at 1710 Old Wilkesboro Road, College Park Apartments. Meosha Obrien Parks was listed as a victim of affray.
– Andrew William Michael Malonee reported that he and his wife, who are both in the Army, got into an argument at 819 S. Jake Alexander Blvd. Nov. 9 while traveling through Salisbury on their way to Fort Lee, Va. Malonee reported they began arguing after he used the couple’s last $3 to buy cigarettes instead of food for his pregnant wife. Malonee told police his wife stabbed him with scissors, and she reported her husband pulled her hair. No charges were filed.
– Haney Farah Hassan reported a tenant caused property damage at 1321 W. Monroe St. on Nov. 9.
– A 28-year-old man reported he was assaulted by someone who stole a firearm from him in the 600 block of E. Fisher St. Nov. 10.
– Cassey Nicole Stewart, 24, was charged Nov. 8 with preventing the activation of an anti-shoplifting device.
