Blotter: Boy accused of assaulting principal

An 11-year-old boy tried to assault a principal with a pair of scissors when he was caught stealing at the school, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred Oct. 17 at Koontz Elementary School, 685 E. Ritchie Road.
In other Sheriff’s Office reports:
– Brian Eugene Mishak, 30, was charged Oct. 15 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 1104 Rainwood Drive.
– Wendell Scott Belk, 16, was charged Oct. 15 with ethnic intimidation at 365 Lake Landing Drive.
– Scott Wayne Dixon, 35, was charged Oct. 15 with misdemeanor larceny.
– Christopher Joseph Ramsey, 22, was charged Oct. 15 with failure to return hired property.
– Gary Wayne Thompson, 28, was charged Oct. 16 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer.
– Tiffany Michelle Hall of Faith reported her $213 cellphone was stolen during class Oct. 15 at East Rowan High School, 175 St. Luke’s Church Road.
– David Lawrence Hagaman, 17345 Dooley Road, Cleveland, reported a $400 bracelet stolen from his home Sept. 4.
– Deanna Streater, 125 Overlook Drive, reported items valued at $130 stolen from her home Oct. 16.
– Samuel Arey Nash reported an Oct. 16 arson at 226 Agner Road.
– Timothy Bobby Adams of Granite Quarry reported a burglar broke into a rental mobile home he owns at 235 Kress Venture Drive, China Grove, between Oct. 12 and 14.
– Hazel Craddock, 1050 Julian Road, reported $500 in cash stolen from her home Oct. 16.
– Allison Renee Harwell of China Grove reported her debit card was stolen from her pocketbook while she was at a friend’s house at 1560 Rainey Road Oct. 15 and 16.
– Liliana Lucrecia Spears, 715 White Crane Road, reported vandals caused $100 damage to an exterior door at her home between Oct. 13 and 16.
– Ashley Amelia Wylie, 28, was charged Oct. 16 with felony maintaining a dwelling or vehicle to keep a controlled substance.
– Dustin William Hartsell, 16, was charged Oct. 16 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 162 Kittey Lane, China Grove.
– James Dillon Goodman, 2945 Emanuel Church Road Rockwell, reported the theft of a $2,200 John Deere Gator from his property between Oct. 12 and 14.
– Students were charged following an Oct. 17 fight at East Rowan High School, 175 S. Luke’s Church Road.
– Daniel Ray Corum, 30 and Alex Micheal Grubbs, 16, were charged Oct. 19 with felony breaking and entering a building. They are accused of stealing $170 worth of tools from Robert Earl Corum, 112 Barrier Lane.
– A student was charged Oct. 17 with disorderly conduct at East Rowan High School, 175 St. Luke’s Church Road.
– Jason Ray Long, 27, was charged Oct. 17 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 130 Carrie Drive.
– David Lawrence Hagaman, 17345 Dooley Road, Cleveland, reported his $3,000 mo-ped stolen from his property between Sept. 1 and 13.
– Tassie Mae Whitmire, 17, was charged Oct. 17 with driving after consuming on a provisional license at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, 1333 S. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Julianna Troi Thompson reported her wallet stolen during class Oct. 15 at East Rowan High School, 175 St. Luke’s Church Road.
– Timothy Dakota Graham, 17, was charged Oct. 18 with assault with a deadly weapon/ assault inflicting serious injury at 1355 Percy Lane, Rockwell, based on a complaint by Tanner Dayn Stirewalt.
– Randy Dane Childress, 58, was charged Oct. 17 with assault on a female at 6370 S. Main St. based on a complaint by Marcia Schrimpsher English.
– Joshua Thad Ferguson, 37, was charged Oct. 17 with being intoxicated and disruptive at the corner of Lakeview Lane and South Main Street in Faith.
– Clinton Ray Bonner, 27, was charged Oct. 18 with being intoxicated and disruptive at 915 N. Enochville Ave., China Grove.
– Kelly Lee Torres, 2867G Airport Road, reported a burglar broke into his home Oct. 17. Damage totaled $200.
– Marshal Wayne Broughton, 6325 Yount Drive, reported items missing from his storage building between Feb. 1 and Oct. 16.
– Kevin Duane Stevenson, 320 Willow Oaks Drive, China Grove, reported vandals damaged his vehicle while it was parked at his home Oct. 17.
– Susan Bonds Sloop reported her ATM card had been used fraudulently on a phone transaction Oct. 15.
– Dennis Fountain reported an Oct. 17 burglary at 1640 Scout Road.
– David Earl Smith Jr. of Butler, Tenn., reported $300 worth of diesel fuel was taken from his vehicle’s fuel tank while he slept Oct. 17 at 1105 Peeler Road.
– A 33-year-old female reported she was assaulted Oct. 18 at 10507 U.S. 52, Rockwell.
– Jennifer Lea Buchanan, 114 Melody Court, China Grove, reported the theft of a $1,300 racing bike from her home between Oct. 16 and 18.
– Justin Taylor Moss, 19, was charged Oct. 18 with misdemeanor larceny of items valued at $14.40 from Charlie’s Mart, 5035 Faith Road, Faith.
– Lee Alexander Vaughters, 29, was charged Oct. 18 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 1472 Garrick Road.
– John Adam Peacock IV of Oak Island reported cars and other items removed from property he owns at 435 Ranchwood Drive since June of 2007.
– Bradley Keith Madison of Maumee, Ohio, reported items valued at $925 stolen from a storage building at 5250 W. N.C. 152, China Grove, between Oct. 4 and 19.
– Terry Wayne Mishak, 140 Grants Creek Road, reported vandals punctured a tire on his vehicle while it was parked at his home between Oct. 16 and 18.
– Dustin William Hartsell, 16, was charged Oct. 17 with felony larceny.
– Demetrios Jerell Hasty, 23, was charged Oct. 17 with assault on a female.
– Sammy Ray Garris, 53, was charged Oct. 18 with communicating threats at 1210 Holshouser Road, Rockwell.
– Joshua Thad Ferguson, 37, was charged Oct. 18 with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
– Donald Freeman Crumley, 52, was charged Oct. 18 with assault with a deadly weapon/assault inflicting serious injury at 110 Knoll View Drive.
– Randi Garrison Sheridan, 26, was charged Oct. 18 with misdemeanor larceny.
– Damion Mitchell Claycomb, 30, was charged Oct. 19 with simple assault at 241 Westfork Drive.
– Saul Ivan Lopez Sanchez, 21, was charged Oct. 19 with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury at 1268 Edgefield Drive.
– Charles William Smith, 26, was charged Oct. 19 with felony obtaining property by false pretense at 140 Norris Drive.
– Carla Elane Lemly, 39, was charged Oct. 19 with simple assault.
– Justin Orlando Owens, 22, was charged Oct. 19 with assault on a female at 203 Huntington Drive.
– Ronnie Dale Thompson, 26, was charged Oct. 19 with simple assault/simple assault and battery or affray at 375 Nazareth Home Road, Rockwell.
– Mark Anthony Iacobucci, 39, and Deborah Lynn Iacobucci, 38, were charged Oct. 20 with possession of drug paraphernalia following a vehicle stop on I-85.
– Nicholas Christian Basinger, 10080 Stokes Ferry Road, Gold Hill, reported the theft of a $1,700 four-wheeler from his property the night of Oct. 19.
– Mitchell Elwin Hayer, 32, was charged Oct. 20 with resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer at 1270 Childers Road, Mount Ulla.
– Wheels were stolen from a vehicle parked at Copart, 1081 Recovery Road, China Grove, between Oct. 17 and 20. Total loss was $400.
– Ronnie Giles Stewart, 49 was charged Oct. 20 with possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance at 845 Needmore Road, Woodleaf.
– Paul Flahive reported a someone damaged his property at 14910 Stokes Ferry Road between Oct. 1 and 20.
– Heather Nicole Troutman, 1133 Rainey Road, reported a incidence of cruelty to animals on her property between Oct. 14 and 20.
– Larry J. Young of Gold Hill reported the theft of a $2,000 utility trailer from 1855 Reeves Island Road, Richfield, Oct. 19 or 20.
– Sofiane Touhami Zouyaghi reported he was the victim of a pick pocket Oct. 18 at the Webb Road Flea Market, 905 Webb Road.
– Christopher Eric Ballard reported his motorcycle stolen the night of Oct. 9 from 1995 Weaver Road.
– Tiffani Michelle Shehan of Cleveland reported the theft of a ring valued at $1,970.63 from 970 Camp Road between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2.
– Duane Robert Wheeler, 27, was charged Oct. 20 with assault on a female.
– Jeffrey L. Simpson, 42, was charged Oct. 20 with simple assault at 12545 Cool Springs Road, Cleveland.
– A juvenile was charged Oct. 21 with misdemeanor larceny of $10 and simple assault at Vivian and Doster roads in China Grove.
– James Andrew Freeman reported the theft of $34.40 in petroleum products from The Carolina Plum, 220 Zion Church Road, Gold Hill.
