Staff report
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who was involved in a Nov. 30 home invasion and robbery. A Spencer man was arrested Thursday for his involvement.
Quintin Shamel Gooden, 20, is the second suspect in the crime, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Authorities are also seeking a third suspect who is not yet identified.
During the crime, three black men wearing masks on their faces kicked in the front door of a residence on Correll Loop Road. The suspects, all armed with firearms, removed a man and woman from their bed and demanded money.
The suspects beat the male victim about his face. Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office, Salisbury Police and Spencer Police departments worked together and recently developed Antonio Davis, 21, of Spencer, as a suspect in the case.
Detectives from the Salisbury Police and the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 511 South Yadkin Ave., Spencer, where Davis was arrested Thursday on charges rising from the Correll Loop robbery.
Both Gooden and Davis have ties to a street gang known as the United Blood Nation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives C. Moose or J. Owens at 704-216-8687.
