N.C. lottery tickets valued at $10,000, $7,440 worth of cigarettes and a $10 golf shirt were stolen during a break-in at a local business, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Jackie Thomas Phillips of Jack’s Grocery, 3785 Bringle Ferry Road, reported the burglary occurred at the store between 4 and 6 a.m. Jan. 17. There was also $200 damage to a window air conditioner.
In other Sheriff’s Office reports:
– Teresa G. Hess, 105 Fisher rive, Rockwell, reported $3,800 in cash stolen from envelopes in a file cabinet in her home between Jan. 5 and 16. There had been no sign of forced entry.
– Jeffery Michael Long, 4830 Pleasant Place Road, reported Jan. 15 that a $100 video game player had been stolen during a Dec. 1, 2007, burglary at his home.
– Terral Edward Hughley of Salisbury reported Jan. 14 that a $400 cell phone had been stolen from a vehicle parked at 1570 Peeler Road between Dec. 3 and 14, 2007.
– Donald Eugene Moys, 67, 695 Blue Heron Road, was charged Jan. 16 with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon on a state courthouse. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Feb. 14.
– Joshua Mitchel Knight of Rockwell reported $16 worth of medication stolen from his car while it was parked at 1910 St. Luke’s Church Road Jan. 15.
– Ted Michael Allen of T&V Specialties Inc., 1615 Powell Road, Woodleaf, reported a credit card had been fraudulently used at several locations between Dec. 12 and Jan. 15.
– John Andrew Miller, 260 Mahaley Road, reported someone tried to remove the catalytic converter from his vehicle while it was parked at his home between Jan. 1 and 9.
– Richard Webb, 19, was charged Jan. 17 with possession/consumption of a malt beverage by a person under age 21 at 435 Hayes Drive.
– Mary Margaret Akers of China Grove reported vandals caused $1,020 damage to her vehicle while it was parked at 8920 Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell, the night of Jan. 16.
– Amanda Lynn Hipple, 20, 1020 Heatherdale Road, was charged Jan. 17 with second-degree trespassing based on a complaint by her mother, Cindy Hipple, same address, and resisting a public officer. She was held under $200 secured bond pending a Feb. 28 trial date.
– Terry E. Hill of Hill’s Minnow Farm, 7940 Bringle Ferry Road, reported someone broke into the business the night of Jan. 17 and stole items.
– Neala Cook, 34, 1070 Barringer Road, was charged Jan. 16 with a school attendance law violation. Trial date is Feb. 19.
– Jamar Eric Klyman, 21, 909 S. Carolina Ave., Apartment 6, Spencer, was charged Jan. 17 with assault on a female, breaking and entering and injury to personal property based on a complaint by Meneika Brown, same address. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Feb. 26.
– Lisa Marie Lindsay, 28, 5493 Whiting Ave., Kannapolis, was charged Jan. 17 with felony financial card fraud and failing to appear in court on a driving charge. She was held under total secured bond of $1,725 pending appearances in both Rowan and Cabarrus courts.
– Richard Kasey Webb, 19, 435 Haynes Drive, was charged Jan. 17 with possession of a malt beverage by person under age 21. He was held under $700 secured bond pending a Feb. 18 trial date.
– Jonathan Corderra Williams, 18, 1018 S. Main St., was charged Jan. 14 with breaking and entering, felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was held under $3,500 secured bond pending the next session of Rowan Superior Court.
– Timothy Lee Nooner of On Track Auto Sales, 4235 S. Main St., reported four aluminum wheels with tires valued at $1,000 were stolen from the business the night of Jan. 13.
– A juvenile was charged Jan. 9 with assaulting two other students in a restroom at West Rowan Middle School, 5925 Statesville Blvd.
– David Wayne Parris of Kannapolis Auto, 765 Geneva Drive, Rockwell, reported $270 worth of auto parts were Jan. 14 stolen from the business.
– Eric Jerome Peterson, 1026 Lenwood Lane, Kannapolis, reported a $25 tool set was stolen from his home Jan. 15.
– James Ray Holland, 45, 1069 Spring Meadow Drive, Woodlead, was charged Jan. 15 with two counts of assault on a female based on a complaint by Tamera Diane Holland, same address. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Feb. 26.
