Motor parts valued at $8,710 were stolen from a Mooresville business, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department.
Bob Schact of BSM Bob Schact Motorsports, 709 Performance Road, told deputies the thief cut a master lock on a trailer to steal the items the night of Jan. 20.
In other Sheriff’s Office reports:
– Joshua David Proper, 26, 1335 Julius Drive, was charged Jan. 20 with felony embezzlement. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Jason Scott Beaver, 30, 2205 Summit Ave., Kannapolis, was charged Jan. 21 with breaking or entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods, all felonies. He was held under $10,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Jessica Elaine Clevanger, 923 China Grove Highway, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 20 with making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Laura Smith, 923 China Grove Highway, Apartment E-7, Rockwell. Trial date is Feb. 28.
– James Hugh Cunningham, 26, 195 Buccaneer Circle, was charged Jan. 20 with shoplifting/concealment of goods. Trial date is Feb. 14.
– Shane Michael Frasier, 28, 5225 Fish Pond Road, was charged Jan. 20 with assault on a female based on a complaint by Kristy Roftwell, same address. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is March 11.
– Travis Michael Helms, 27, 213 John Pen Circle, was charged Jan. 18 with making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Laura Smith, 923 China Grove Highway, Apartment E-8, Rockwell. Trial date is Feb. 28.
– Gary Wayne Houston, 35, and Samantha Ann Houston, 32, both of 209 Hickory Lane, were both charged Jan. 21 with school attendance law violations. Trial date is Feb. 19.
– Brian Odell Jones, 30, 865 Fox Hollow Lane, was charged Jan. 18 with making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Laura C. Smith, 923 China Grove Highway, Apartment E-8, Rockwell. Trial date is Feb. 28.
– Amber Nicole O’Neal, 290 Upper Overcash Ave., China Grove, was charged Jan. 20 with injury to personal property based on a complaint by Crystal Ann Andrews of Concord. Trial date is March 6.
– Michael Ray Surratt. 59, 401 Forest Drive, was charged Jan. 21 with sexual battery in Oakboro. He was released on a written promise to appear in Stanly District Court.
– Shawn Paul Walls, 30, 422 E. 23rd St., Kannapolis, was charged Jan. 19 with second-degree trespassing based on a complaint by Ruth Lindsay, same address. He was held under $500 secured bond pending a March 6 trial date.
– Nathaniel Archibald Carter, 31, 821 S. Railroad St., was charged Jan. 19 with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– June Jerome Renegar, 33, 594 Troy Mill Road, Hendersonville, was charged Jan. 21 with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflict serious injury. He was held under $25,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Kurt Andrew Zimmerman, 25, 4825 Pleasant Place Road, was charged Jan. 19 with three counts each of felony breaking and/or entering and felony larceny after breaking and entering. He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Four tires and rims were stolen off one vehicle and another vehicle stolen Jan. 18 while they were parked at Autostrada Auto, 2980 E. N.C. 152. Total loss was $730.
– Humphrey Allen Tillery, 16, Nazareth Children’s Home, 855 Crescent Road, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 18 with simple assault. He was held under $200 secured bond pending a March 11 trial date.
– Rachel Dawn Scearce, 117B Cedar Drive, reported $30 worth of medication stolen during a burglary at her home the night of Jan. 7.
– Kevin Dean Ingle, 8606 Smith Road, Kannapolis, reported a $700 tool set stolen after someone broke into his storage building Jan. 17. The burglar also caused $200 damage to the door handle.
– Michael Wayne Lucas, 1275 Carter Loop Road, Rockwell, was charged Jan. 19 with resisting, obstructing and delaying a public officer, driving while impaired and driving while license revoked. He was held under $2,500 secured bond pending a Feb.. 22 trial date.
– Paul Davis, 2340 Grace Church Road, reported medication stolen from his truck while it was parked at his home Jan. 19.
– Randy Lynn Sheets, 835 Parks Road, Woodleaf, reported a $1,000 utility trailer was stolen from his side yard between Jan. 16 and 19.
– William J. McCrary, 18, 4825 Pleasant Place Road, was charged Jan. 19 with possession of drug paraphernalia. Trial date is Feb. 6.
– Claude Walter Bostian reported vandals caused $200 damage to his truck Jan. 19 while it was parked in the 100 block of Haynes Drive.
– Patricia Larkin Litaker, 265 Litaker Road, reported an $800 gold ring stolen Jan. 15 from her home.
– Penny E. Tarlton, 350 Cromer Road, reported items valued at $324 stolen from her home Jan. 18 or 19.
– Larry W. Safrit, 570 W. Ritchie Road, reported a $1,200 riding lawn mower was stolen Jan. 20 from his storage building.
– A burglar broke into James Steven Taylor’s 875 Wetmore Road, Woodleaf, home between Jan. 6 and 20 and stole 25 VHS movies. Total loss was $501.
– Joe Haynes, 300 Wade Drive, China Grove, reported vandals caused $1,000 damage to his work truck while it was parked at his home between Jan. 18 and 21.
– Johnny Mesimer, 855 Parks Road, Woodleaf, reported Jan. 21 that someone put an unknown substance into the fuel tank of his truck.
– Brian Walker reported Jan 21 that his wallet from his gym bag in the locker room of the East Rowan YMCA.
– Jason Matthew Wright, 32, 207 W. Fifth St., Landis, was charged Jan. 21 with felony larceny of a firearm and simple assault based on a complaint by his father, Frank Reid Wright, 926 N. Enochville Ave., China Grove. The younger Wright was held under $1,500 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Richard Doyle Thomas, 113 Newell Ave., Kannapolis, reported a $120 rifle stolen from his home Jan. 21.
– A burglar broke into Pop’s Country Store, 5285 U.S. 601 North the night of Jan. 21, causing $400 damage to a plate glass door and stealing an undetermined amount of items.
