THOMASVILLE ó BNC Bancorp, the parent company of Bank of North Carolina, has declared an annual cash dividend of 20 cents per share, an 11 percent increase over the 18 cents paid during the first quarter of 2007.
The cash dividend will be paid Feb. 22 to shareholders of record on Feb. 8.
“During these challenging times for the banking industry we remain very pleased with the fundamentals within our company and the opportunities in our markets,” said W. Swope Montgomery Jr., president and chief executive officer.
“These core strengths of our company have enabled our board to increase the cash dividend for the sixth consecutive year,” he said.
Bank of North Carolina has an office on Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury near the entrance to Castlewood.
Other full-service banking offices are located in Thomasville, High Point, Greensboro, Archdale, Lexington, Kernersville, Harrisburg, Welcome and Oak Ridge. In addition, the bank operates limited service offices in Winston-Salem and Mooresville.
