Arrest in break-in
A third person has been charged in the break-in of a Gold Hill home.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has charged Alana Michelle Shuping, 19, of 645 Charles St., Rockwell, with breaking, entering and larceny. She is accused of breaking into the home of Ralph Ritchie of 4070 High Rock Road.
Earlier, deputies had arrested a mother and son from Gold Hill, Angela and Austin Honeycutt, in the same incident.
Authorities say pills, cash and cigarettes were stolen from Ritchie’s house Friday.
Shuping was placed under $1,000 bond.
