The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a weekend shooting where a wife apparently shot her husband.
Officers were sent to 6220 Bringle Ferry Road around 10:23 p.m. Sunday regarding a domestic situation.
The victim, Mario Gibson, 30, was shot in the leg at his home by his wife, said Capt. John Sifford.
No charges have been filed.
Investigators seized a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun at the scene.
Gibson did not suffer life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The wife’s name was not released.
