Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority awards nine scholarships

Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. has awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to 2008 high school graduates in the Salisbury-Rowan area.
Five plan to attend N.C. A&T State University in Greensboro. They are Akeira Hill, daughter of Bryan and Jocelyn Morrison; Terrence Diggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Diggs; Chanale Propst, daughter of Dirwin and Jackie Propst; Stephanie Cuthbertson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Cuthbertson; and Misa Patterson, daughter of Lamar and Arnethia Patterson.
Two plan to attend Winston-Salem State University. They are Jaleesa Wilks, daughter of Rhonda Wilks, and Candace Payne, daughter of Loretta Payne and Terry Smith.
Katrina Abel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wayne Abel, plans to attend Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs.
Natonsha Charleston, daughter of Janet Ross Allen and Alvin Charleston, plans to attend East Carolina University in Greenville.
