Salisbury Police are investigating two robberies they think are related to a weekend robbery and assault of a Salisbury woman.
A Salisbury Mall employee was leaving work about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday and was about 15 feet from her car when a man approached with a gun.
The man ordered her to give up her money and cell phone, which she did. The thief is described as being between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. He was a dark complexioned black male between 18 and 21. He was wearing a red bandanna over his face.
The victim was not injured. That was not the case for a woman who was robbed and hit in the face with a gun Sunday night on Boundary Street. One suspect was arrested in that case after a witness identified the suspect while the woman and the suspect were being treated at the same hospital.
Another incident Salisbury Police think might be connected occurred at 1:26 a.m. Saturday at a West Fisher Street apartment.
A woman was watching television in her bedroom when she heard a knock at the front door. She went to the window and looked downstairs to see who was knocking. A man asked her if she had a cigarette. She told him she didnt smoke.About five minutes later, someone began kicking in her door. The woman called 911 and the men burst through with a handgun. They took her cell phone and a home phone she was carrying, then left through a sliding glass door in the kitchen.
One suspect is described as being about 5 feet 10 inches and 160 pounds. He is a dark-skinned black male wearing a white T-shirt and blue or dark-colored pants. The other suspect was about 6 feet tall. He was between 130 and 160 pounds and was wearing a T-shirt. The suspect had on blue jeans with red cartoon-covered pajamas underneath.
Although the victim didnt recall a shot being fired, a hole was made in a wall where a shot had been fired into the house.
Grace Street robberyAnother woman was robbed outside her Grace Street home Tuesday at 10:34 p.m. This incident is not thought to be connected to other recent robberies.
The woman, whod just got into her car, had yet to close her door when two males came up to her, one with a small handgun.
One man was wearing a white T-shirt and a bandanna across his face. The other suspect was wearing all black, including a black bandanna over his face. The only available description was that the two men were short.
The victim said the two men didnt say anything, just came up to her, took her purse and ran into the woods.
