Tricia Hardy and seven of her Ellis Park ceramic students won 11 first-place, 20 second-place and two best-of-category ribbons in the South Carolina State Ceramic Competition in Columbia June 8-9.
They entered 31 pieces.
Connie Morris, the newest student, won two firsts and a best of category in the Novice division. Yvonne Fries won two firsts and four seconds competing in the Hobbyist category.
In the Senior Citizens division, Jo McDaniel won three blue ribbons and a best of category; Barbra Hardister and Lib Miller both won a first place; Francis Ward won six second-place ribbons; and Virginia Graves won three second-place ribbons. Hardy won two firsts and seven seconds.
