Rowan Regional Medical Center Auxiliary has awarded three $1,000 scholarships to local high school students who participated in the medical center’s Junior Volunteer program and contributed many hours of service to Rowan Regional Medical Center.
They are Benjamin Matthew Calhoun, Danielle Kemp Heglar and Bradley Harrison Maness.
Calhoun, son of Penny and George Calhoun, is a student through Our Heritage Home School. He plans to attend Davidson County Community College to pursue a career in medicine.
Heglar, daughter of Penny and Bruce Heglar, is a student through Oak Leaf Home School. She plans to study pediatric nursing at Gardner-Webb University.
Maness, son of Martha and Randy Maness, graduated from East Rowan High School. He plans to study physical therapy at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
