UNC-Chapel Hill grad
Jennifer Laura Summers graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill May 13 with a double major. She received both a bachelor of science degree in psychology and a bachelor of arts degree in biology.
At UNC, Summers was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta national premedical honor society and Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She served the sorority’s national philanthropy as a volunteer at the Robbie Paige Memorial Center at UNC Hospitals. She was also a member of the Campus Y where she volunteered for the Helping Youth by Providing Enrichment Committee.
During her junior and senior years, she worked as a research assistant at the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies at the UNC School of Medicine.
Daughter of George and Kathy Summers of Salisbury, she plans to pursue graduate studies in the health care profession.
