Bats valued at $2,000 and other sports equipment and concession stand food totaling another $437 in value were stolen from a concession stand at a ballfield, Rowan County Sheriff’s Department.
Jerry Lee Hill of Gold Hill reported someone forced open a roll-up metal door at the ballfield stand owned by Liberty Methodist Church, 3940 Liberty Road, Gold Hill, between June 21 and 26.
In other Sheriff’s Department reports:
– James Kevin Carr, 42, 235 Ellis Loop, was charged June 29 with misdemeanor child abuse. He was released on a written promise to appear in court Aug. 29.
– Christina Elaine Shumake, 20, 401 Skyview Drive, was charged July 1 with misdemeanor child abuse. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.
– Thomas Allen Alewine Jr., 28, 440 Pipeline Road, China Grove, was charged June 30 with breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm and larceny, all felonies. He was held under $50,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Kelly Lynn Collins and Courtney Nicole Collins were charged June 29 with assaulting each other during a domestic dispute at their 660 Sides Road home.
– Mark Edward Durham, 2355 E. N.C. 152, China Grove, was charged June 29 with felony larceny in Cabarrus County. He was held under $2,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Cristino Morales Onofre, 845 John St., China Grove, reported vandals caused $500 damage to his vehicle while it was parked at his home June 29.
– Robert Wayne Bunton, 120 Forest St., Rockwell, reported a $6,000 four-wheeler stolen from his property June 28 or 29.
– Jason Wayne Dixon, 26, 515 Moon Circle, was charged June 30 with assault on a government official at 225 Moon Circle. He was held under $2,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 7 trial date.
– Brandon Thomas Riddle, 19, 1920B Mocksville Road, Statesville, was charged June 29 with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon following a vehicle stop on Foster Road at the Davie County line. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Darwin A. Villalobos, 30, 2002B Airport Road, was charged June 30 with a domestic violence protective order violation, breaking and entering and damage to personal property based on a complaint by Sara Silva, 112C Overbrook Drive. He was held pending a bond hearing. Trial date is Aug. 7.
– Joseph Manuel Silvia, 6775 Jones Road, reported the license tag was stolen off his vehicle while it was parked in front of his house the night of June 29.
– Robert Foutz, 120 Nana’s Way, was charged June 30 with misdemeanor larceny. He is accused of trying to steal a trailer from Jerry Helms’ front yard at 2825 Daughtery Road, China Grove.
– Earl Thomas Dishman, 2095 Flat Rock Road, China Grove, reported a go-kart and chain saw stolen from his storage building the night of June 30. Total loss was $500.
– Jerry Eugene Stiller, 615 Emanuel Church Road, Rockwell, reported a $6,000 four-wheeler and a $500 wench stolen from his storage building June 30 or July 1.
– Jerry Wayne Norris, 850 Goodnight Road, reported a $120 miter saw stolen from his carport June 28 or 29.
– A vehicle reported stolen July 1 by Daniel Macias-Lopez, 550 Hopehill Road, was later recovered after it was involved in a hit-and-run accident.
– Bradley Cecil Carpenter, 24, 155 Stoltz Road, Rockwell, was charged July 1 with misdemeanor larceny at 107 Courtney Lane. He was held under $300 secured bond pending an Aug. 6 trial date.
– Gina Marie Craver, 35, 3864 S. N.C. 150, Lexington, was charged July 2 with making threatening phone calls based on a complaint by Ashleigh Michelle Pittman, 314 Flowering Tree Lane, Rockwell. Craver was held under $1,000 secured bond pending an Aug. 16 trial date.
