Rockwell man faces drug, gun charges

A Rockwell man faces charges of possessing more than 100 grams of marijuana, 20 handguns and illegal liquor.
Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies charged Terry Lee Thomas, 43, of 125 Mallard Lane, with possession with the intent to sell/deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, possession of non-tax paid liquor and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Feb. 28, deputies acting on a search warrant entered the Mallard Lane home and seized 104 grams of marijuana, valued at $520; 20 firearms; and 11/2 quarts of illegal liquor.
A Salisbury Police Department K-9 unit assisted in the search. Thomas was arrested Monday. He has since been released from the Rowan County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
