The 10 recent graduates of the radiography program at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination.
They are Pamela Hession and Tanya Holler of Mooresville; Kristin Honeycutt, Tamara Kepley and Marie Phillips of Salisbury; Tracey Jones and Michelle Russell of Kannapolis; Brandi McIntyre of Rockwell; Andree Sloan of Charlotte; and Tana Wilhelm of Cleveland.
Governor’s School
Six Rowan-Salisbury School System students are attending the 2008 session of the Governor’s School of North Carolina June 15-July 26.
Those attending Governor’s School East at Meredith College in Raleigh and their areas of concentration are Molly E. Trexler from East Rowan High School, choral music; Alexandra G. Caldwell from South Rowan High School, mathematics; Remi S. Moore from Salisbury High School, natural science; and Seth A. Morris from Salisbury High School, social science.
Those attending Governor’s School West at Salem College in Winston-Salem and their areas of concentration are Emily L. Graczyk from East Rowan High School, dance, and Briana F. McLeod from East Rowan High School, social science.
Governor’s School is a six-week summer residential program for intellectually gifted rising high school seniors with exceptions for rising juniors in selected performing and visual arts areas. The free program is funded by the General Assembly of North Carolina.
High school scholar
Crystal Curlee, a student at North Rowan High School, has been selected for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars for her superior academic excellence.
She is the daughter of Claude and Louise Curlee of Salisbury.
