Yadkin Riverkeeper Inc. will hold its annual meeting from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Camp Walter Johnson on High Rock Lake.
The annual meeting will include “a pig pick’n with all the fixins and other refreshments,” according to a press release.
Yadkin Riverkeeper Dean Naujoks will speak about the recent Thomasville sewage spill and the impact of this spill on High Rock Lake. He’ll also discuss other important issues the organization has worked on over the past year.
Dr. JoAnn Burkholder, an N.C. State University water quality expert, will be the keynote speaker. The event is free to the public, though donations are encouraged.
