Bobby Mault at Mault Texaco will be hosting a World War II re-enactment Saturday.
Mault, who will be 75 next week, will have a variety of vehicles, field radios and army tents at the event.
As a dual opening, Mault leased the old Patterson School on Weaver Road and will be showing his “Freedom Museum.” The museum will feature more than 300 uniforms, pictures and medals from World War II.
“I want to honor those who died for freedom and I want to teach this generation what the price of freedom is,” Mault said.
The school will be divided into separate military branches except for the cafeteria, which will be a collaboration of different divisions.
Mault, whose four brothers served in World War II, will hold the events from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The re-enactment and museum, which will take place at 2470 Weaver Road, will have food and free admission.
“Donations are fine, but I didn’t want anyone to not be able to come because of the price,” explained Mault.
