An ROTC instructor at West Rowan High School was charged Saturday with two felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a student.
Ricky Jelen, 46, of 1640 Shadow Creek St., NW, Concord, was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
According to an arrest warrant issued at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office, Jelen, who is listed on the warrant as a teacher, is accused of taking indecent liberties with a female student.
The Post does not name the victims of sex crimes.
Jelen is scheduled to make his first appearance in Rowan District Court Monday.
The investigating officer in the case is Clint Mauldin, a detective with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
