Weapon reported at high school
A high school student was reported to have a weapon on school campus.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reported a student at East Rowan High School has a knife on the campus on Sept. 17.
Deputies described the knife as a three-and-a-half- inch switchblade.
In other incidents or reports on Sept. 17:
– Berry Dee Isenhour, reported the theft of a digital recorder and money from his vehicle parked at his home at 124 Chapel Court.
– Michael Lamont Sowell, 30, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intend to kill /serious injury on a grand jury indictment.
Sowell has been in the Rowan County Detention Center for more than a year on charges of attempted murder.
