Two people were injured in Saturday evening accidents in Rowan County, both in the Locke Fire Department district.
A male was injured in a go-kart accident at Millbridge Speedway, which was called into the Rowan 911 Center at 7:28 p.m. He was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center by ambulance, where he was transported by helicopter to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Seven minutes later, the driver of a motorcycle was injured in an accident in the 1800 block of Miller Road. The driver was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast by ambulance and transferred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte by helicopter.
The N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating.
