Two charged in downtown car break-ins

Police arrested and charged two people, one a juvenile, after a car break-in behind the Brick Street Tavern Monday afternoon.
Salisbury Police Sgt. John Lanier noticed a man enter a vehicle that was parked behind the downtown business in the 300 block of N. Lee Street. The suspect ran but was caught about 15 minutes later.
A 15-year-old Salisbury teen and a Salisbury man were charged.
Police charged Terrell Donnelle Young, 21, 1208 Mirror Park Drive, with breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
Young has been among the department’s most wanted for previous larceny and breaking and entering charges, which stem from incidents in January.
Young remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
