Salisbury Police have charged two Salisbury men with robbing First Legacy Credit Union at 1400 W. Bank St. Wednesday afternoon.
Maron Tyrese Banner, 20, of 916 W. Horah St. and D’Andre Anthony Curry, 20, of 512 W. Horah St., were charged with felony robbery with a firearm or other dangerous weapon.
Police were called to the bank at 4:47 p.m. about a robbery that had just taken place.
A black male came into the bank with a handgun, a black hoodie and a white T-shirt covering his face. He demanded money. He was given the money and walked out.
A police dog tracked the suspect, later identified as Curry, to the 1200 block of W. Monroe St., where he still had the credit union money in his possession. Banner was also in the bank at the time of the robbery with a handgun used in the robbery.
Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said Banner has an account with the bank.
Banner remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under $100,000 secured bond. Curry remains in the county jail under a $150,000 secured bond.
