An air quality action day has been declared for Charlotte on Tuesday.
The air quality index is predicted to be 111 ó unhealthy for sensitive sroups. Ozone is the primary pollutant.
Particle pollution will be at 51 ó moderate.
The Charlotte air quality forecast region includes Cabarrus, Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Union, and southern Iredell counties.
