ENOCHVILLE ó An estimated 30 supporters of U.S. Sen. Richard Burr attended a Saturday evening reception at Pity’s Sake Lodge.
Hosts for the event included Millie and Rodney Cress, Deborah and Dyke Messinger and Tom Smith, all of Salisbury.
Other hosts included Lynne Safrit, president of Castle & Cooke, and Janet Leath, a Garner insurance agency owner.
Burr talked about current issues including the economy, military and health care.
David Murdock, owner of Pity’s Sake Lodge and the developer of the N.C. Research Campus, did not attend.
