Staples is hosting Teacher Appreciation Day Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Teachers can preview new products and shop for school supplies at discounted prices, and the first 100 teachers to visit each store will receive a bag of free supplies such as notepads and writing tools.
As part of the day, the Staples Foundation for Learning, a private foundation created by the office supply company, is giving $50,000 to the National Education Association Foundation for its Green Grants program, which enables teachers to request funds for environmentally focused projects. The Staples Foundation is also giving $50,000 to Fund for Teachers for their Teacher Grants program.
Throughout the back-to-school season, teachers can make black-and-white copies at Staples for 5 cents. Staples also offers a teacher rewards card, which provides rewards on purchases, copy and print services and ink cartridge recycling.
The Staples store in Salisbury is at 355 Faith Road, and there is also a store at 1480 U.S. 29 in Concord.
