Sheriff’s report: Restaurant burglarized

Nothing was reported stolen in a recent burglary at the West Rowan Grill in Cleveland. Billy Joe Cranfield told the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 14 that someone threw a brick through a window in the back door of the grill, located at 8870 Statesville Blvd., to gain entry. Damage was estimated at $700.
In other reports from the Rowan Sheriff’s Office:
– On Feb. 13, a 40-year-old male reported the larceny of $3,540 in tools and equipment from an outbuilding at 355 Rock Spring Drive.
– On Feb. 13, Jeff L. Morgan reported the larceny of a 9mm Lorcin semi-automatic handgun valued at $300 from residence at 7777 Howard Ave., Kannapolis.
– On Feb. 13, Hubert Jerome Pate reported vandalism to a Jeep at 6170 Meadow Lane.
– On Feb. 13, William Joe Lavely reported a larceny of 352 wooden railroad ties and the steel forks to his Bobcat from National Salvage and Service Co., 2133 Old U.S. 70, Cleveland.
– On Feb. 13, Elizabeth Hope Pierce reported a burglary at 510 Cal Miller Road, Rockwell.
– On Feb. 13, Richard Abbott Clontz was charged with resisting, delaying, obstructing public officer following a disturbance at 1085 Percy Lane, Rockwell.
– On Feb. 13, Patricia Ann McHone was charged with driving while impaired at 255 Poole Road.
– On Feb. 13, Brett Thomas Joubert was charged with assault with deadly weapon at 232 N. Main St.
– On Feb. 13, Billy Eugene Talbert was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses at 232 N. Main St.
– On Feb. 14, Reliable Pawn, 107 Mooresville Road, reported someone obtained property by false pretenses.
– On Feb. 14, Robert Shade Eury was charged with DWI after being stopped at 7999 Stokes Ferry Road and St. Peters Church Road.
– On Feb. 14, Brenda Gail Watts of 8049 Longbriar Drive, Kannapolis, reported larceny of television, video game, DVD player, laptop and six games. Stolen items were valued at $2,465.
– On Feb. 14, Jeremy Drew Hughes was charged with possession of controlled substance at 1500 Airport Road.
– On Feb. 14, three men ó Troy Steven Applegate, Gary Lee Gibbons and Paul Edward Hilton ó were charged with simple assault at 730 Parks Road, Woodleaf.
– On Feb. 14, Nathaniel Lyles was charged with common-law robbery at 232 N. Main St.
– On Feb. 14, Michael Scott Witt was charged with felony breaking and entering at 290 Ernest Miller Road.
– On Feb. 14, Andre Maurice Marshall was charged with misdemeanor larceny at Kizziah Drive/N.C. 152, Rockwell.
– On Feb. 15, Shawn Michael Devries of 360 Shannon Drive reported he returned home and found garage door to residence damaged. Damage was estimated at $300.
– On Feb. 15, Justin Corry Parker of 420 Romana Drive reported larceny of 1991 Toyota Camry valued at $3,000. Vehicle has been recovered.
– On Feb. 15, Herman Ray Basinger reported burglary/forcible entry at 5665 N.C. 152 East, Rockwell. Items and tools stolen were valued at $60.
– On Feb. 15, Darlene McElroy reported larceny of an angel statue from a grave at 3980 U.S. 601 valued at $100.
– On Feb. 15, Laymond Peter Barger reported vandalism of Caterpillar loader at 1185 Goodnight Road.
– On Feb 15, Melvin Lee Robbins reported larceny of a shotgun valued at $200 from Building C at 8043 Longbriar Drive, Kannapolis.
– On Feb. 15, Wayne Morgan Coley was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle at 800 N. Lee St.
