Sheriff's blotter: Man and woman charged with breaking into home

A man and woman were charged with breaking into a Mooresville Road home, forcing entry and damaging the property.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Timothy Scott Scercy, 20, and Michelle Lee Kirbaugh, 32, with felony breaking and entering at 3504 Mooresville Road.
The incident occurred April 6. The two used pliers and a claw hammer to gain entry.

– Wilma Aplin reported on April 6 a breaking and entering at 3345 River Road, Richfield.
– Timothy Dwayne Hoce reported on April 6 someone broke into his parents’ house at 245 Karriker Farm Road, Mooresville.
– Rodrick Antonia Cohen reported a vehicle fire at 620 Peach Orchard Road.
– William Joseph Foshay, 21, was charged April 6 with misdemeanor possession of a schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana)at 6209 S. Main St.
Someone stole two motorcycles from a Salisbury home valued at about $2,000 at Potneck Road.
Mark Steven Lottes reported the theft of the bicycles and a helmet on April 14 from 340 Potneck Road.

– Brandon Paul Knupp reported on April 13 someone stole a car trailer from a business at 9015 W. N.C. 152, Mooresville.
– Johnny E. Holleman reported on April 14 a motor vehicle theft at 215 Grand Oaks Drive, Rockwell.
– Shannon Mignon Blackmon reported an April 14 vandalism of vehicles at 1780 Old Union Church Road.
– Charlie Franklin Rankin, 3975 Woodleaf Barber Rd., Cleveland, reported on April 14 someone used his credit card online.
– Albert Thomas Rollins reported on April 14 bolts and shovels stolen sometime between April 9 and April 10 at 1250 Crane View Road.
– A 50-year-old woman reported an April 14 assault at Mill Wheel Drive.
– Matthew Lee Basinger, 23, was charged on April 13 with felony accessory after the fact.
– Wartenna Panthvettias Krider, 44, was charged on April 13 with felony larceny.
– Kevin Dewayne Ghent, 26, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female.
– David Jumar White, 25, was charged April 13 with felony assault causing serious bodily injury at 232 N. Main St.
– Bart Adam Mauldin, 19, was charged April 14 with misdemeanor assault on a female.
– Karrie Safrit Blanton, 36, was charged April 14 with misdemeanor simple assault or affray at 3772 Enochville Road, Kannapolis.
– Lavon Jerome Hollingsworth, 17, was charged April 14 with felony breaking and entering.
– Matthew Thomas Small, 17, was charged April 14 with misdemeanor possession of a schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana) at East Rowan High, 175 St. Luke’s Church Road.
– William Allen Heintz, 40, was charged April 14 with assault on a female.
