– Susan Whitaker and Ruta Usry were elected to a three- year term on the School Improvement Team at Salisbury High School.
– Homecoming ó Oct. 16, carnations sale; parade, downtown Salisbury, 3:15 p.m.; football vs. Central Davidson, 7:30 p.m.; homecoming court presentation, 8:15 p.m.; crowning of queen, 8:25 p.m.
– PTSA ó The PTSA has completed the five-year fundraising effort for campus security cameras, thanks to a donation from Bill and Shari Graham.
The PTSA will have Chick-fil-a Spirit Night the first Wednesday of each month at the Chick-fil-a Town Creek Commons 5 to 8 p.m.
The PTSA is still accepting membership forms, volunteer information and donations to the APPLE Fund and “Take It Easy” fundraisers. “Take It Easy” funds will go towards technology replacement costs at SHS, including smart boards, printer cartridges and projector bulbs.
Remember to link Food Lion MVP and Harris Teeter VIC cards to Salisbury High School.
– The first grading period for the school year concludes Oct. 24 and students will be dismissed at noon that day for staff development. Lunches will be served in the cafeteria prior to dismissal.
– School will be closed Oct. 30 to students while teachers average and record grades and attend workshops. Report cards will be issued Nov. 10.
– Students who need to arrange a deferred payment plan for the yearbook must meet with yearbook adviser Katie Osteen in room 310.
The yearbook staff would like to include pictures taken by students and parents to show school spirit. Approved pictures will appear in the yearbook. Upload pictures at https://portal.jostens.com/login.asp.
