Diane Dillon Hooper has been named director of the Rowan Regional Medical Center Foundation.
A longtime resident of Salisbury, she succeeds Bob Skelton, who left in July to accept a position with Nash General Hospital.
Hooper joined the Rowan Regional Medical Center Foundation in 2004 as grants manager.
She has been responsible for all research, writing and submission of competitive grant applications, writing and editing the foundation’s quarterly newsletter, and she played a key role in the Partners in Progress Capital Campaign.
Through her leadership, the hospital has been awarded more than $2 million in grants, and she was responsible for raising more than $1 million dollars in individual gifts during the recent Partners in Progress Capital Campaign.
A graduate of Catawba College, Hooper is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Salisbury and has served in leadership positions with the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Before joining Rowan Regional Medical Center, Diane served as executive director of Historic Salisbury Foundation.
