Restaurants donating proceeds to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Romano’s Italian Cuisine, at 1510 W. Innes St., and Capriano’s Italian Cuisine, 231 Faith Road, are partnering with Cystic Fibrosis Team “Saving Grace” next week for an annual fundraising event.
These family-run businesses are supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by donating a portion of the entire day’s proceeds.
Romano’s day will be Monday, May 4, during lunch and dinner, dine in or carry out. Delivery service will be available during lunch hour on orders of $50 or more.
Capriano’s day will be Tuesday, May 5, during lunch and dinner, dine in or carry out. Delivery will be available during lunch on orders of $50 or more.
Participants can meet 7-year old Grace Hodge, the inspiration for the team. She is one of 15 children and young adults in Rowan County who have cystic fibrosis. CF is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of 30,000 in the United States.
Last year, these events raised $1,000. Of every dollar donated to the foundation, 90 cents goes directly to research and care. This will be the third year Romano’s has participated, the second for Capriano’s.
